A gentler milk soak
For delicate fabrics that can’t handle stronger treatments, soaking items in plain milk for a couple of hours before a normal wash uses the milk’s natural enzymes to lift dullness without stressing the fibers.
White vinegar in the machine
Add half a cup of white vinegar to your regular detergent during the wash cycle to strip out built-up residue and boost brightness. For a stubborn spot, dab vinegar directly on it and let it sit an hour before washing as usual.
